The World Navy is one of five organizations that are under the jurisdiction of the World Security Patrol.
Their primary function is the defense of the oceans and any vessels within it. They function similarly to the WASPs, but while the WASPs are mainly a peacekeeping force and have much more direct dealings with the undersea races,the Navy's role focuses more on active defense.
There is a large rivalry between both the WASPs and the Navy, as both serve similar functions. The World Navy was originally the parent organization of WASP, as it originated from their Submarine Service, and remained under the Navy's control until 2062 when it became its own entity.
